2008 ... our third year projects

 Event 1 -

Jonesy & Phil will be taking on the World Famous London Marathon on 13th April. This will be there first attempt at the 26.2 mile distance
 Event 2 -
Our Junior O2e Team will be attempting a 100 mile off road cycle over three days covering the historic South Downs Way setting off from Guildford  early on Saturday 24th May and hopefully arriving in Brighton, via Eastbourne by lunchtime Monday.. There will be a range of ages from 9 years old and this will be a first cycle adventure for all our budding ' Larnce Armstrong's '
 Event 3 -
Johnny Milne will be pushing himself to the limit and attempting arguably the World's Toughest IRONMAN in the heat and hills of the volcanic island of Lanzarote. On 24th May Johnny will have to SWIM 3.8k CYCLE 180k RUN 42.2k
 Event 4 -
Sarah Schnadt will attempt the ' Mecca ' of ultra marathon racing and at 5.30am on  the 15th June Sarah will set off from City Hall Durban for the toughest of races called ' The Comrades ' an uphill course of 56 miles!!!!
 Event 5 -
Our Junior O2e Team will be taking on the distance of The English Channel with children swimming 1 mile each to make up the 24 miles
 Event 6 -
Evelyn Hicks is going one stage further than last years abseil. This year in July Evelyn ( who is scared of heights) will throw herself out of an aeroplane at 10,000 feet!!!!!!!! for her first and last parachute jump.
 Event 7 -
DD, Pete and Slatts will be travelling 69 degrees north latitude in northern Norway and taking on a 200k Artic Sea Kayak Race over 5 days leaving The Vesteralen Islands on 21st July 
 Event 8 -
Junior O2e Finn Slatts will be attempting a 4k point to point lake swim in Nashville Tennessee on 24th August
 Event 9 -
Tuohy's peleton of 50 riders will be leaving Cork on 25th September and arriving the following evening in Galway in time for the World Famous Oyster Festival having cycled approximately 200 miles through Ireland's stunning West Coast
 Event 10 -
Deborah Stott is getting rid of her swimsuit and putting on her trainers and going back to where it all began and taking on the Athens Marathon on 9th November.

 Event 11 - 

Nira will attempt a SOLO 24 HOUR SPINATHON in the restaurant at Man Group/MF Global at Sugar Quay starting at 9am on 31st July-if anyone is out drinking late I'm sure Nira would welcome some support to help her through the lonely night hours

 Event 12 -

Stuart is attempting a really original and massive project that will keep him on the top of his fitness for the whole year!

Stuart is attempting to complete a ONE MILLION METRES ROWING CHALLENGE on an indoor rowing machine through the year- that's 1.71 miles every single day of the year totalling around 625 miles!!!!

 Event 13 -

Our patron Chris Moon is reserving 13 (his lucky number) and look forward to hearing what madness Chris has up his sleeve shortly

 Event 14 -

Freddie (age 16) and dad David (considerably older) will attempt to swim Coniston Water in the Lake District. This is a very cold long distance race of some 5.5 miles (no wetsuits allowed) with race day 20th July-very best of luck to Freddie and David should know better at his age!!

 Event 15 -

Mark, Richard, Rob, Steve and Jaimie from Citibank will take on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks during 1st week of September-best of luck to all

 Event 16 -

Mark (again) and Charlie will attempt an amazing inter island swim of 7km in the Scottish Hebrides on 16th Aug-this is a really creative challenge with stunning scenery and marine life-best of luck Mark and Charlie

 Event 17 -

 Event 18 -

Peter 'Stumpy' Brooks will attempt the famous Great North Run on 5th October
 Event 19 -
Nigel Harper and Slatts are organising a ' Garden of England ' 50 Mile Cycle Ride through beautiful Kent Countryside starting and finishing in Woldingham on Sunday 6th July-anyone interested pls advise soonest-would be a great training ride for Irish ride in Sep.
