07/09/2007 Update
Ant, Karen, Timbo & Simon 'beasted' The Three
Peaks with over 2000 metres of ascent and covered more than 25 miles in distance
in a very very impressive time of 11 hours & 15 mins.
Big thanks to Barry & DD for all their support
and very well done to everybody.
We have our first O2e World
Record!!
Massive congratulations to Jeremy and his two teams
for organising & completing their mammoth hockey match.
Both teams played for a total of 26 hours & 22 mins!!!!!!-
the early morning hours proving most challenging and the whole match played very
competitively and at a mean pace. This is a great & creative challenge that took
a huge amount of time & effort to organise so many many congratulations to
Jeremy, Skells & ALL involved.
Our third Channel Swim team made it three out of
three for O2e yesterday.. Duncan, Norbert, Slatts, Roger, Kerri & Mick battled
through a force 4 to complete their challenge in a very impressive 12 hours & 53
mins-all the team had to dig very deep, let's not forget Roger overcame major
fears of open water, sharks etc etc not to mention the £35,000 he
raised!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Extraordinary achievement.
On a fundraising theme another incredible effort
came from Nigel Keen-Nigel injured himself before his London triathlon so could
not take part and goes under the knife today-hope all goes well- but his
sponsors still honoured their pledges and Nigel raised just under £10,000 which
is another Extraordinary achievement-very well done & speedy recovery Nigel.
31/08/2007 Update
Unfortunately Nigel did not make the start line
for his first Triathlon as he damaged his cartilage while training just a few
days before. I know Nigel trained really hard for this event and is very
disappointed to have missed out-knowing Nigel we will see him back soon.
Keith & Steve have conquered the Rockies!!!!
Let's not forget neither Keith or Steve were regular
cyclists and foolishly entered one of the toughest off road races in the
calendar with massive climbs and some 600km to the finish line. Last year they
skied the famous Haute Route, this year spat out The Rockies, looking forward to
a new & creative challenge for next year.
Huge effort & well done guys in your challenge
and raising an incredible £20,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Senior Channel Swim
Next out is our 3rd Channel Swim Team
who are waiting nervously for a break in the weather-let's make it 3 out of 3
and best of luck to Duncan, Norbert, Slatts, Roger, Kerri & Mick

children
Once again many thanks to Claire and her Amida
Team for all their support

15/03/2007 - Huge congratulations to Helen
and Tim Miller
Helen and Tim
completed the Paris Marathon on the weekend in spite of the scorching heat and
limited amount of preparation time available to them. Helen sprinted across the
line like a Gazelle in 4 hours 53 mins and Tim followed close behind in 5 hours
03 mins. The feat is made all the more remarkable by the fact that Tim suffered a
double break and dislocated ankle some two years previous and his longest run
prior to the event was a mere 9 miles !
Well done Tim and Helen.
22/04/2007 - London Marathon
Sarah Schofield, Jill Hopkins, Rob Hall and Steve
Walter are competing this Sunday. The gaunlet is laid down at 4 hours 53 mins by
our current record holder, Helen.
